Aims
Responding to the needs of our client, who is a world leader in the oil and gas industry and faces three issues:
- the shortage of PDMS/E3D designers in the Lyons area,
- team management,
- a lack of space on their premises.
Multi-project skills centre

Sophia Engineering met these goals via its own skills centre by outsourcing the projects with a best endeavours commitment.

We provided experienced resources and, although some of them were not familiar with the PDMS/E3D software, we trained them in using it in nine weeks.

Sophia Engineering outsourced the projects directly on its own premises, using a dedicated, secure area.

The team management was entrusted to the manager of the Sophia Engineering skills centre (project leader).
Impact
Sophia Engineering is one of the few companies able to respond to all of these issues at the same time.
Our client was reassured by the way that the proposed team was organised. It was made up of a project leader (responsible for the CC), a group leader and two experienced designers.
Sophia Engineering has secure, dedicated premises close to the client’s own premises.
